Hey Ladies!
So recently I came across this website. It's about pretty much anything green. I looked through a lot of it, but there's just so much content on here, its awesome. Anyways, I found this little article about all the things college kids can do to go green while in school. I feel that it's completely relevant considering that we are all still in college and looking for new ways to be proactive about protecting the earth. And theres an obvious plus... nothing costs any money.

I looked at the website and I was pleasantly surprised that I already do the majority of the things on the list. I wash my clothes in cold water (except for towels), use reuseable grocery bags, trade text books with friends, turn off the faucet when I can, etc. I actually feel like I am helping the environment. I had previously looked at this website too, and I do like it.
ReplyDeleteThis is cool. The list of things to be more green is interesting also. I think I currently do 5/11 things but I think I can still increase that number a little. I've notice that a lot of environmental websites generally choose blue as their main theme color. It's probably a clean color that fits well with being green?
ReplyDeleteI really like the fact that the can count shopping at thrift stores environmentally friendly, I love shopping and if it can be seen as recycling, than yay! Thrifty shopping I find is a more interesting than just going to target, you never what you are going to unearth :)
ReplyDeleteThe thing I have the most trouble with on the list is taking short showers. I absolutely love taking long showers, especially when I wake up to a cold house, it's just so nice and warm. This is something I definitely need to work on!
ReplyDeleteNow this was a good one! Simple little things that are easy to forget. While here in college we can be the cheapest people ever! especially with winter coming up, playing with the heat, and finding a happy medium is going to be difficult to do.
